Step 1Make sure your router is working correctly. Whether you use a wireless or wired router, use your computer's network tools to determine whether or not your router is functional before you go to the Wii.



Step 2Connect the Ethernet cord to the Wii LAN Adapter on the Wii Console or turn on the wireless Wii router. Turn on the Wii and click on the Wii icon located on the main menu. Select "Wii Settings" on the subsequent menu.



Step 3Select the second screen (click the 2 in the bottom right corner) and click on the Internet bar using the Wii Remote. Highlight "Connection Settings," and go to the first open connection slot.



Step 4Choose Wired or Wireless Connection based on the modem you are connecting with. The Wii will attempt to connect to the Internet after you select the type of connection.



Step 5Click "OK" once the connection is established. This connection now exists independently of WiiConnect24 Support. Your Wii is connected to the Internet which remains accessible as long as the broadband.
